Maybe you have a fleet of cars for your business or own a car dealership, vehicle detailing company, valeting service or classic car enthusiast/owner.

Common causes of car dents Marple, dings, dints, include;

  • Shopping trollies
  • Wheelie bins
  • Push chairs
  • Car doors
  • Hail stone

Maybe it’s time to change or returning at its end of lease. Don’t let dings, dints and dents caused by someone else’s negligence in car parks, or by shopping trolleys, wheelie bins, hail stone damage or falling branches and in some cases stray golf balls affect the value on or cost you on lease return inspection.

Marple lies to the west of the River Goyt.  Ten minutes away from Marple Bridge, the town has a number of places to eat, shop and a cinema.  The canal runs through the town where you can go for a walk and take in the town’s picturesque scenery.  The canal ‘The Peak Forest Canal’ contains the Marple lock and flight and Marple aqueduct.  The Roman Lakes, towards the south east of the town centre, attract a large number of walkers and anglers each year.

The first reference to Marple is written as ‘Merpel’ which is believed to of derived from the Old English word ‘Maere Pill’ meaning ‘The stream at the boundary’ During the 1900’s, Marple served as a link with other industrial towns.

Lying close to the town of Marple, Marple Bridge lies along the River Goyt, with the river running through the centre of the village.  The village became a conservation area during 1974 and in 2006 this was extended to include, Brabyns Park due to its landscape setting formed by the steep-sided valley of the River Goyt.  The village is predominantly stone built.

For centuries, the area was part of the township of Ludworth in the High Park, Derbyshire.  The land to the east is known as Marple Bridge and the land to the west is known as Marple.  The village’s picturesque bridge spans the river goyt.

The River Goyt made a boundary from Derbyshire and Cheshire and was only crossed by fords.  Bridges were later built at Otterspool and Compstall.  The 19th century brought many shops, public houses and small business with a small cotton mill operating behind the shops.  The arrival of the railway saw hundreds of visitors coming to the area.
